2009 Show

In its 11th year, the Art Institute of Portland proudly presents our end of the year fashion show, “The Fine Art of Fashion”. Each year we showcase Senior Collections from our up-and-coming designers plus a runway segment featuring alumni, new designers and even faculty work.

This year’s theme is “Silhouettes”. Much of the work will be black and white putting a strong emphasis on silhouette and form.

Every year, this event draws more attention and attendance. Don’t miss out!

Mission of the Show

The mission of The Art Institute of Portland is undergraduate design education. Degree programs at the College include both liberal education and professional education. Instructional programs require coursework in communications, the humanities, the social sciences, in natural science and mathematics; they also prepare students for entry level positions in design fields by focusing on the demands of professional practice.

The College seeks to be an innovative center for design, a lively supporter of the arts, and a positive community partner in the city of Portland, the state of Oregon, and the greater Pacific Northwest.

Creative Arts Scholarship

The Apparel Department of The Art Institute of Portland is proud to present its 10th Annual Fashion Show. Our fashion show has become the College’s largest fundraiser for the Creative Arts Scholarship Fund. Through the purchase of tickets, many talented and driven students have received scholarship dollars towards a quality education provided by The Art Institute of Portland.
